Our Life, the Last Month!!!

Hmm, a lot has happened since I posted last, but I have a pretty good excuse...we had Baby Brandt!!  Not sure how long we will call him Baby Brandt, but Micah and me seem to say his name that way pretty often. :)

I thought I would share just a little about his birth story.  Brandt was due December 9th, but decided to make his appearance on November 23rd (37 wks and 5 days)...both of my babies have been born by 38 weeks..guess that is my pattern.  Brandt was a very healthy 8 lbs and 5 oz. and 19.5" long.

I started having contractions around 2 am but they weren't regular so I didn't wake Josh up. However, I couldn't go back to sleep and just kept timing them.  By 6:30 am Josh woke up and I told him that I thought I was having real contractions, but wasn't for sure and that I would call him at work if I needed him.  Needless to say, Josh refused to leave me to go to work :) By 8 am the contractions still weren't regular but were causing me to not breathe when they came...I told Josh that we needed to go to the hospital asap by that point!  I actually hurried upstairs and got Micah's big sister shirt out and got her dressed (priorities right?)

We dropped Micah off at Josh's mothers work and headed to the hospital.  We checked in and I was hurting really bad by this point. I asked for a epidural immediately, but they still have to ask you about 45 minutes worth of questions before they would get the dr.  They hooked up the monitors and told me they would check my cervix as soon as they finished getting all the info they needed from us.  45 minutes later, they checked me and I was at 8 cm. (I thought  I was going to pass out when she told me that) Within about 5 minutes, the anesthesiologist (probably spelled wrong) and delivery nurses were in my room.  There was definately a sense of urgency. lol.

While they were giving me my epidural, they kept telling me that it probably wasn't going to catch up in time and that I would probably feel everything.  Luckily, my water never broke and I actually sat at 10 cm for about a hour without my water breaking, which allowed for the epidural to take.  Praise the LORD!!!  About a hour later, our sweet son made his appearance into the world.  I couldn't ask for a better baby!  We were able to go home the next day, on Thanksgiving!  We had so much to thank our Lord for that day :)

This pic was actually take a few days before Brandt was born, and we definately had a bigger belly with the second child :)

                                                  Going home!

Micah was a sheep in the church nativity!! Cutest sheep I've ever seen! I just love her so much.

We bought Micah a dollhouse for Christmas! It was a huge hit. It has a elevator on it and Micah keeps calling it a "alligator" - so cute! We had a great Christmas with our families, celebrating our Saviors birth!

Here is my little man at 1 month. I can't believe we have already made through a month as a family of four.  I can't wait to see what God has planned for this sweet little guy!

Sorry for such a long post, I just had to catch up on everything!!

Preggo update and my lady bug!

I'm a little late posting all of these, but I haven't been that motivated to blog due to just being tired and lazy. :) Here are some pics of Brandts nursery. His room is so little, but I think it turned out great. I had his bumper custom made and my mom made his bed skirt. My mother in law gave me the picture above his bed...it's a little boy riding a rocking horse and then the outline of the pic is a saddle bronc rider. (I had to ask Josh if I was saying that right)

Leslie, my sister in law, made Brandt's wreath...I absolutely love it!

The cutest lady bug ever! Just a few pics of Micah from halloween!

37 weeks preggo with Brandt. I am a lot bigger with Brandt than I was with Micah..I'm guessing he is probably not going to be a 6 pound baby like Micah. :)

Our little Cowgirl!

Here's a preggo photo - 27 weeks pregnant with our little boy, Brandt! Yay, for the last trimester!

We had so much fun this weekend! We took Micah to the saline county rodeo on Friday night, then we (I didn't ride) went riding horses at Nanna's and PawPaw's. Micah also rode a horse by herself for the first time...my two year old is growing up way too fast!

what can I say

Wow, my last post was June 2....I haven't felt all that great and have been extremely tired the last few months...at least thats my excuse. I am now 25 weeks preggo and I now feel wonderful. I have my energy back, which this is about the same time I started feeling good with Micah too.

We have been doing a lot, we went to the beach with my family, which was so much fun. Micah has gone fishing multiple times with her daddy. And we just went to the lake for the first time this summer with all of Josh's family.

We just finalized a baby boy name, however the order is still not finalized. Brandt Kaleb or Kaleb Brandt...we are probably going to call him Brandt.

Sorry this post is so random, just trying to catch up!!

Here's to a Happy Ending!

After a starting the year with a heartbreak with a miscarriage in Feb., we are excited that the year is going to end great with a sweet baby due Dec. 9. Praise God for everything He has done for our family and for what He is continually doing.

We are very excited to announce the news of our little one, however, I have been so cautious this time around, just due to being scared of another loss. I'm realizing how much I have to keep giving this child over to the Lord. We are now 13 weeks and I was able to hear the sweet heartbeat yesturday. Praise God!

It's been neat the things that God has shown me the first 13 weeks. at around 7 weeks pregnant, I wokeup around 2 in the morning and couldn't sleep due to having anxiety about losing this child. God brought the song "He's got the tiny little babies, in His hands" to my head and I have literally played this song in my head everytime I wanted to get nervous. I know God was saying "I'm holding this child, you have to trust me!" His word says that "He knits us together in our mothers womb"...for those that know how to knit, you can't knit anything without holding onto it with both hands. Praise God He holds our babies in both His hands! Whether they are in heaven with Him or still in our womb. :) What better hands for our children to be in!

I still have anxiety from time to time, but I keep singing my little song that God has given me and try to trust Him regardless of what happens. Praise God we have a Saviour that loves us so much!

This is how I told Josh we were pregnant! Don't stress out, the test is in a ziploc baggie! :) Needless to say, he was surprised!

My little Easter Bunny

Just a few pics to highlight the week. This was Micah's first time to dye eggs....she did a great job and then we painted them. Enjoy the pics!

I ask her to smile, and this is what she does!

Gotta love Josh's shorts and boots look!

Where do I start!

Where do I begin???? We have been soo busy these last few months, that I just realized I haven't blogged in almost two months. We have gone through a lot over the last months and God has worked on my heart so much! ( although it has been hard learning the lessons I am, I'm thankful for everything that I have gone through) (maybe later I can add details) I'm asking for prayers as we (mostly me) are going through crazzzyyy emotions right now and that I can rest in God's peace and trust Him with every aspect of my life! Switching gears - I can't end a post without a few pics! We had a baby shower for a friend a church and this was the first cake I made for someone outside of my family. It turned out ok, but I hope to continue to get better! I just love planning for cakes. My sweet Micah and her best friend (and cousin) Tilly Jade!

I love micah's expression in this picture! That girl cracks me up!
