Pinnacle Mountain

We went to Pinnacle mountain this saturday and had so much fun - minus the melt down Micah had half way up the mountain.  She almost made it to the top.  Maybe next time we will try some hiking a little easier for my sweet three year old!
Brandt LOVED the backpack....Josh, I'm not so sure?  He was who I was worried about and he never even made a sound.  He just kept looking around and smiling the whole time! Such a sweet little guy!

My beautiful little girl! Who enjoyed the playground at pinnacle much more than the hike :)

Luckiest girl around! I had these two handsome guys hiking with me!

Time is flying by

For my moms birthday last week, we all surprised her by showing up at church.  Even Keeli and Kyle came in and surprised her...the goal...to make her cry...mission accomplished! :) It was a good cry.  It has been years since her whole family was at church with her.  Josh was the only one who couldn't make it because he is the new youth pastor for Sharon Baptist Church and needed to be there...he just met up with as at lunch.
Wow, our family is getting big!

We had our LAST Warford prom.  I can't believe my baby brother is a senior! He looked so handsome!

This pic is priceless! Dad giving his kids money...he jokes that all he is a human ATM!

Super hero dodgeball with our new youth group...we are so excited to be serving at Sharon and can't wait to see what God does with this group of kids!

By the way, I realized after playing dodgeball that even though I think I can play with 16 yr olds, my body is definately not 16 anymore.  I was hurting for a whole week after this game!

Easter and 5 month pictures of Brandt

This sweet guy was 5 months old April 23rd! I can't believe how fast he is growing up.  I haven't weighed him recently, but 2 weeks ago he was 16lb and 8 oz.  He is sooo long too.  He is wearing 6 to 9 month clothes because I need them that long to snap onesies!  It cracks me up how different Brandt and Micah are.  Micah has always been my high energy kid and Brandt is sooo laid back.  He loves to just watch Micah play.  I hope and pray that they are close as they grow up together.

My sweet kiddos on Easter!

Micah's cousin, Tilly! They are both so cute!

Spring Fever

It has been GORGEOUS today, so Micah and me decided to go outside and play while Brandt was napping!  This girl, will hardly let me take her picture and when she does, she gives me these prissy faces...it cracks me up!!

Look at this handsome guy!

I finally got a small smile out of him.

A whole lot has happened since my last post, lets face it, i'm a horrible blogger!  I will post later about what God is doing in our family right now, but for now, here are a few pics of my pride and joy!

I came downstairs from putting clothes up and this is what I saw!! She was entertaining Brandt!

This sweet guy is four months old! I might need to fee him more :)

I finally got a picture of him smiling!!!

This is what Micah did in her room today while I was taking care of Brandt! I just love this girl!  And she is all girl!

Our Life, the Last Month!!!

Hmm, a lot has happened since I posted last, but I have a pretty good excuse...we had Baby Brandt!!  Not sure how long we will call him Baby Brandt, but Micah and me seem to say his name that way pretty often. :)

I thought I would share just a little about his birth story.  Brandt was due December 9th, but decided to make his appearance on November 23rd (37 wks and 5 days)...both of my babies have been born by 38 weeks..guess that is my pattern.  Brandt was a very healthy 8 lbs and 5 oz. and 19.5" long.

I started having contractions around 2 am but they weren't regular so I didn't wake Josh up. However, I couldn't go back to sleep and just kept timing them.  By 6:30 am Josh woke up and I told him that I thought I was having real contractions, but wasn't for sure and that I would call him at work if I needed him.  Needless to say, Josh refused to leave me to go to work :) By 8 am the contractions still weren't regular but were causing me to not breathe when they came...I told Josh that we needed to go to the hospital asap by that point!  I actually hurried upstairs and got Micah's big sister shirt out and got her dressed (priorities right?)

We dropped Micah off at Josh's mothers work and headed to the hospital.  We checked in and I was hurting really bad by this point. I asked for a epidural immediately, but they still have to ask you about 45 minutes worth of questions before they would get the dr.  They hooked up the monitors and told me they would check my cervix as soon as they finished getting all the info they needed from us.  45 minutes later, they checked me and I was at 8 cm. (I thought  I was going to pass out when she told me that) Within about 5 minutes, the anesthesiologist (probably spelled wrong) and delivery nurses were in my room.  There was definately a sense of urgency. lol.

While they were giving me my epidural, they kept telling me that it probably wasn't going to catch up in time and that I would probably feel everything.  Luckily, my water never broke and I actually sat at 10 cm for about a hour without my water breaking, which allowed for the epidural to take.  Praise the LORD!!!  About a hour later, our sweet son made his appearance into the world.  I couldn't ask for a better baby!  We were able to go home the next day, on Thanksgiving!  We had so much to thank our Lord for that day :)

This pic was actually take a few days before Brandt was born, and we definately had a bigger belly with the second child :)

                                                  Going home!

Micah was a sheep in the church nativity!! Cutest sheep I've ever seen! I just love her so much.

We bought Micah a dollhouse for Christmas! It was a huge hit. It has a elevator on it and Micah keeps calling it a "alligator" - so cute! We had a great Christmas with our families, celebrating our Saviors birth!

Here is my little man at 1 month. I can't believe we have already made through a month as a family of four.  I can't wait to see what God has planned for this sweet little guy!

Sorry for such a long post, I just had to catch up on everything!!
